Kevin Booker

Kevin L. Booker, 50, Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, February 22, 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice. Kevin was born June 1, 1962 in Independence, MO the son of James B. and Mittie M. (Smith) Booker. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School. Kevin owned and operated Booker Plumbing & Heating for 19 years and later worked for Waldinger Corporation. He was a member of the Local 533 Pipefitters Union. Survivors include his wife Tonya Booker of 22 years; daughters, Heather Darneal and husband Patrick, Christine Booker; son, James Booker; daughter, Becki Simon and husband Jaron; grandchildren, Aiden, Hunter, Madison, Natalie, Alyssa, Zoey, Mason, and Logan due in June. He was preceded in death by his parents.
