Mittie Booker

Mittie Marie Booker, 81, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Mittie was born September 19, 1928 in North Little Rock, AR to James Marion and Alma (Webb) Smith. She was a member of the East Alton Community of Christ. Mrs. Booker worked for Armco Steel and Anchor Plumbing before retiring. Mittie is survived by her son Kevin Booker; grandchildren Heather Darneal, Christine Booker, James Booker, Becki Booker; four great-grandchildren; brothers Leonard Smith, Marvin “Doc” Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Booker; sister Polly Wright; brothers Joseph Smith, Samuel Smith.
