Lawrence Boyd

Lawrence “Larry” Boyd, 71, Independence, MO, died Jan 25, 2010 at Centerpoint Hospital. Services will be 10:00 am, Friday, Jan 29, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Rolling Acres Pet Cemetery or Animal’s Best Friends.
Larry was born Dec. 9, 1938 and graduated from East High School in 1958. Larry attended auto mechanic school after high school. Larry worked at G.M. and retired after 31 years. He then worked at the Independence Transportation Services as a school bus driver for 15 years before retiring due to ill health.
Larry was preceded in death by his stillborn son born Feb 2, 1964. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Catherine Boyd, of the home; four children: Dianne Boyd; Laureen “Laura” Leobo and husband Terry; Larry Boyd and wife Lisa; and Catherine “Cathy” Boyd; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
