Agnes Boyer, 91, of Independence, passed away Saturday, January 5th, 2013 in her home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 10th at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Agnes was born November 10, 1921 to Rudolph and Nellie (Carter) Hilton as one of 8 children. She graduated William Chrisman High school. Later, Agnes married Ray Boyer and together had three boys. She served in Air Traffic Control for the Army during World War II. Afterwards, she devoted her life as homemaker to her family. She loved traveling with everyone, especially grandchildren. Agnes is loved and will be missed by her family and Elvis, beloved Shih Tzu and companion.
Agnes is survived by sons, John H. Boyer (Kathleen), Independence, MO; Kurt Boyer (Catherine), Kansas City, MO; Karl Boyer, Price, UT; four grandchildren, Brian, Michelle, and Alyson Boyer, and Kelly Drake; two great grandchildren; and sister, Joan Munger. She was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Flo Jones; Glenn and John Hilton; Mary Bernard; Becky Smith; and Jane Batson; and grandson, Charles Boyer.
