Catharine Bozarth

Catharine E. Bozarth, 88, Independence, passed away Thurs, April 01, 2010 at Rosewood Heath Center.

A Celebration of Catharine’s life will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 9, 2010 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3601 S. Sterling, Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 202 SW 10th St. Blue Springs, MO 64015.

Catharine was born February 12, 1922 in El Dorado, KS the daughter of Edgar and Harriett (Knapp) Foshe. She was employed with Ford Motor Company from 1941 to 1960 as an Executive Administrator. In 1960, along with her husband Herbert, started Metals Protection Plating Company in Kansas City, MO. They retired in 1987 leaving a successful company to their son. She was a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of numerous organizations with the church. Catharine was a member of the Order of the Easter Star; Mt Washington Chapter and the Ararat Shrine Temple; Kansas City Chapter, Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and loved the be the organizer of the family events.

Catharine was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Herbert Bozarth in 2003 and her parents.

Survivors include her son, Edgar Bozarth and his wife Joyce of Liberty; daughter, Elaine Bryant and her husband Gary of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Adam Bozarth, Eddie Ray Lewis, Jason Lewis, Ryan, Meagan, Keifer, and Taylor Bryant; and six great grandchildren.
