Charles Joseph Bridges, 56, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015. The family will host a private gather at their home for relatives and close friends to celebrate Chuck’s life.
Chuck was born December 16, 1958 in Kansas City, MO as one of three children to Joseph and Dorothy (Eckman) Bridges. He graduated from Van Horn High School. On January 14, 1984 he married his beloved wife, Dianne (Crawford) whom he had known since middle school. Together, they raised two daughters. He worked as a chef for Ramada. Later, Chuck worked for Argosy Casino for over 20 years and was responsible for many tasks including security. He enjoyed music, especially classic rock, singing, playing guitar and playing bass for his band. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking BBQ, Nascar Racing, bowling, and children. His family remembers him as jovial, easy to get along with, and loving.
Chuck is survived by wife, Dianne; daughters, Crystal Bridges and Nicole Logan (Roger) all of Independence, MO; grandson, Xavier Logan; brother, James Bridges of Kansas City, MO; and sister, Belinda Boehm (Richard) of Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family encourages contributions to American Cancer Society or to the Independence Schools Music Program, in his memory.
