Marshall Eugene Brooker

October 3, 1942 — September 12, 2020

Marshall Eugene Brooker,
Independence, MO
1942-2020

Marshall gained his angel wings September 12,2020.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Beverley June Brooker (Mundy), Children, Janell Dilday (Jason), Farron Brooker (Stacey), Dale Brooker (Jeannette), Bill Brooker (Renae), Misti McVay (Steve), Kenneth Brooker, Charles Brooker (Stephanie), Mandi Brooker, Marc Brooker (Ashley), Steven Brooker. 19 beautiful Granddaughters, 6 handsome grandsons, and 26 precious great grandchildren. As well as his brothers and sisters Robert Brooker (Jan), Donald Brooker (Kathy), Gail Jacobs, and Jessica Lutes.

Marshall was born October 3, 1942 in Miami, Oklahoma. After moving to Wichita, Kansas, he fell in love with and married the love of his life whom he met at a drive-in diner in 1962.

Independence, Missouri became their permanent residence in 1970 where he would become a
welder and proudly provided for his extra-large family of 12 for over 50 years. His bubbly, kind, loving spirit shined as he would befriend those in need even if it meant he would do without. The immense love and protection he had for his wife and children would be passed down from generation to generation. His sweet, gentle touch while holding his grandchildren will never be forgotten.

His Lord and Savior was the center of his life. He was a Deacon and a member of the Buckner Restoration Branch. Marshall knew he was given many blessings throughout his life. In times of fear he would keep his hands in the Lords and let Him lead the way. He shared his strong faith with his children and grandchildren through talks or mere observation.

Marshall’s happiest times were spent with his family. Holidays, family dinners, camping, fishing, or just having a conversation laughing and joking. He would watch his children proudly as they bantered and joked just as he did.

Marshall is preceded in death by his parents Jesse & Juanita Brooker, his brothers Keith & Wayne Brooker, sister Carla Patchuem, his son Marshall Eugene Brooker Jr, Granddaughter Jessie Tanna Brooker, and Son-in-law John Potts.
