Velma Broski

Velma Broski, 95, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 17, 2009 at Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Velma was born on May 3, 1913 in Cheyenne, OK, to Burt and Effie (Lawrence) Ord. In 1974, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph J. Broski; and one brother, Fred Ord. Velma is survived by one daughter, Sharon Tobin with Robert Horn; two granddaughters, Catherine Holland and husband Mark, Cheryl Tobin and husband Wayne Wiederhold; and two great grandchildren, Claire and John Holland. She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
