Dale William “Butch” Brown, 56, of Kansas City, MO passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at KU Medical Center surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 3-4:00 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Carol A. Pettus Liver Transplant Fund, c/o KU Medical Center, 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway, St 302, Westwood, KS 66205. Dale was born July 23, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to George Harvey and Oma Bernice (Snow) Brown. He was a faithful member of the Vineyard Church. Mr. Brown retired from the U.S. Postal P&DC Processing Center after 16 years of faithful service in ’06. Dale was a liver transplant recipient in ’01. He enjoyed model railroading and computers in his spare time. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Donna (Ferguson) Brown; sister Harriet McGarvey and husband Rob; sister-in-law Jodi Scheier and husband Tom; nieces JoMarie Young and husband Kevin, Angi Allen and husband Darren, Lelanie Scheier, Jessica Magee, Christina Ferrara; a host of great nieces and nephews; his feline kids Autumn, Sarg and Molly; and by many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and cat Zach.
