Bruce Alan Hupp, 71, passed 30 August 2024
Bruce was born on the 27th of April 1953, in Oakland, California, the son of Albert & Helen Fullerton-Hupp.
He graduated from Fremont High School in Oakland, California, class of 1971 and went on to attend Laney Junior College graduating with an Associate’s degree in culinary arts in 1974.
He married Trudy Roelike 3 September 1982 and to this union were born 2 children, Michael and Tessa .
Bruce was a chef for many years and worked at restaurants such as the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, California, the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota, etc.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bruce also loved the outdoors. He had the opportunity to visit Europe where he made many memories.
He was a private person who generally didn’t sugarcoat anything, a man of few words, who was the best at creating great culinary dishes, he will be dearly missed.
Bruce is survived by: Michael Hupp & his spouse, Claire Schwitzer, Tessa Hupp and her spouse, Chase Crowley, one grandchild, Kieran Crowley, siblings, Gary and Ronald Hupp and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents Albert and Helen Fullerton-Hupp.
A memorial service will be held on October 5, 2024 at 9:00 am (CST), at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 705 W Walnut Street, Independence, MO. Contributions are suggested to: A Living Tribute - Plant a Tree in Honor of Someone - A Living Tribute Tree Gift.
