Martha Bruce

Martha Bruce, 90, of Bates City, Mo passed away March 9, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held 2:30 pm, Monday, March 12, 2007 at the Carson Speaks Chapel. Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service starting at 1:30 pm. Memorial may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association. Martha was born on January 15, 1917 in Independence, MO to Charles and Bertha (Albers) Hamm. Martha was one of eight children. All have preceded her in death with the exception of one sister, Margaret Patterson of Lee�s Summit. Margaret was a faithful member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, where she served on the Alter Guild, and was a past Director. She was also an accomplished Seamstress, and a very accurate and skilled Bookkeeper. Survivors include children, Carol Bronson of Racine, WI, Nancy Strahan of Bates City, Ellen Bruce of Combs, AR, and Robin Bruce of Huntsville AR, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Martha is also preceded in death by her husband Randal "Ken� Bruce and daughter Janet Day.
