Mary Elizabeth Brune, Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the First Christian Church; 125 S. Pleasant St., Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church.
Mary Elizabeth was born September 26, 1924 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Everett) Lowe. She was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church. Mary Elizabeth was also a member of the Young Matrons and the Independence Study Group. She enjoyed playing the piano, bridge and was a wonderful seamstress. Mary Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband, John Brune of 63 years; daughters, Diane Miller of Parkville, and Susan Farrington and husband Rodney of Benton, LA; grandsons, Jeffery Miller, Gregory, Jason and Michael Farrington.
