Ada Ruth Brunson, 79, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Season’s Care Center.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Monday, November 16, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Ada was born November 16, 1929 in Independence, MO the daughter of Lester and Sara (Walker) Powers. She was employed with Sears and Roebuck until her retirement. Ada was a member of the RLDS Church where she taught Sunday school and served in many other capacities at the churches her husband pastored. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, hiking and being near her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl R. Brunson, Pastor and High Priest in the RLDS Church in 1995 and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, David Brunson and his wife Doris; and Kenneth Brunson and his wife Gayle all of Independence; grandsons, Aaron, Michael, Jeromy and Mathew; and four great grandchildren.
