Raymore

Bryan Lynn Harrel, of Raymore, Missouri, departed this world on May 1, 2025. Born on December 30, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, Bryan graced this world with his presence for 59 remarkable years.

Bryan graduated from Hickman Mills High School, where his vibrant personality began to shine. It’s also where he first encountered the beautiful young woman he would one day make his wife, Terri. He was an ornery spirit with an uncanny ability to connect with anyone. Never one to know a stranger, he could spark a conversation and weave meaningful connections wherever he went. His charisma was magnetic, drawing people into his orbit, fostering friendships that blossomed into lifelong bonds. A natural leader and mentor, Bryan exemplified these qualities in every facet of his life, whether it was personal, professional, or athletic. He dedicated countless hours to coaching and mentoring young athletes in football, imparting not only his knowledge and wisdom but also unwavering support and encouragement. Sports were a fundamental part of his identity; whether it was playing or coaching, Bryan's love for football shone through. He also found joy in golf, fishing, and riding his motorcycle, activities that connected him with nature and his loved ones alike. Yet, above all his accomplishments, Bryan cherished his family and friends the most. He poured his heart and soul into each relationship, leaving a legacy built on love and support. Bryan also had a profound willingness to help others. He would gladly sacrifice his time to help his friends and family; at the drop of a hat he would be with if you needed him, no matter the time or place. He adored helping others, especially those closest to him. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, and in them, he found boundless joy.

Bryan's passing was preceded by his parents, James "Jim" Harrel and Imogene Harrel; and his stepmother, Doris Harrel. His legacy of love and laughter lives on through his best friend and devoted wife, Terri Harrel; his children, Connor Harrel (Rebecca) and Chloe Harrel; his sister, Jamie Harrel; and his grandson, Charles Harrel.

A celebration will be held on May 24, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at Be Free Family Farm (11301 E 139th St, Kansas City, MO 64149).
