Bettie Bryant

Bettie L. Bryant, 80, of Independence, MO passed away August 27, 2010 at Golden Living Center of Independence. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, September 1, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Bettie was born June 22, 1930 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Edward A. and Dollie B. (Cole) Rouse. On September 4, 1946, Bettie married Roy W. Bryant. On August 9, 2002, Roy preceded her in death. She is survived by four children, Roy W. Bryant Jr., Harold A. Bryant (Cathy), Roxanna Mariaskin (Mark), Bobbie E. Fields (Jonathan); eight grandchildren, April M. Porter, Sara N. Weikel, Victoria M. Adams, Joshua A. Reynolds, Justin R. Bankston, Jonathan R. Fields Jr., Elizabeth A. Fields, Holly L. Fields; and Bettie was expecting her first two great grandchildren. Bettie was the second of fourteen children, eight of whom are still living.
