Lee Buck

Lee Buck, 82, Independence, MO passed away May 11, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, May 16 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Lion’s Club or the First United Methodist Church of Independence, 400 W. Maple Ave., Independence, MO 64050. Lee was born Aug. 6, 1930 in Union Star. MO and graduated from Maysville High School. He was U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was the owner of MP Products in Independence for nearly fifty years. He was very active in the Independence Eastview Lions Club and currently served as its treasurer. He was a Past District Governor of the Lions Club and was recognized for his service to the Lions Club many times over the years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Independence. He loved square dancing, collected coins and was a former Chiefs season ticket holder. Lee is survived by his wife of fifty-five years Betty Buck of the home; daughters Cathy Harris and husband David, Independence, MO; LeeAnn Egger and husband David, Leawood, KS; grandchildren Jake Harris and wife Emily; Blake Harris, all of Independence, MO; Matt Egger and Mary Egger, both of Leawood, KS and great-granddaughter Hailey Harris.
