Christopher Bukaty, 52, of Orrick, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family on July 23, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Chris was the youngest of five children born to Raymond and Alberta (Kobe) Bukaty. A smile always lit up his face when 6’3” Chris was referred to as the “baby” of the family. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Independence class of 1980 and worked the last twenty one years for Ford Motor Company in Claycomo, lastly, as a Coordinator on the Box line of the F-150. Chris had a gentle nature and kind soul. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching the grass grow on the farm in Orrick. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond, Sr. He leaves behind his best friend and love of his life for fifteen years, Sonja Robinson, along with their boys, Christopher Jr., Ethan, Logan Bukaty and Joseph Kaufman; his mother, Alberta Bukaty; sisters Marcia Shutts (Ric) of Independence; Cathy Ewing (Jerry) of Belton; Carolyn Minckler (Scott) of Everett, Washington; and brother Ray Bukaty, Jr. (Margie) of Grain Valley, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 27th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28th at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, Sugar Creek, MO.
