Martha Bullis

Martha Jane Bullis, 70, Independence, MO, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 2, at Open Arms Community of Christ, 1101 W. Walnut, Independence. Jane was born September 3, 1937, in Hollywood, CA, to Andrew and Ethel Yates. She have lived in various areas of the country but always returned to Independence. She worked as a phlebotomist and waited tables, but most importantly was a stay-at-home mom. She was a life-long member of the Community of Christ and had attended Spring Branch, Summit Grove, and most recently, Open Arms. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Raines, two sons, Guy Williams, Queen Creek, AZ, and Ben Shobe, Canton, TX; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dan Yates, Menifee, CA, and Ron Yates, Fullerton, CA; and many other loving relatives and friends.
