Lois Burch

Lois I. Burch, 77, of Independence, MO, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Mt. Washington United Methodist Church, 584 S. Arlington, Independence, MO 64053. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Lois was born June 21, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to Carmel and Ethel (Milam) Robinson. She graduated from Notheast High School in 1949. Lois was united in marriage to Joe D. Burch on April 14, 1951. Mrs. Burch retired from the Social Security Administration in 1997. She was a faithful and active member of the church from childhood. Lois was a long time member of the Sloan Rebekah Lodge #482. Mrs. Burch is survived by her daughter Vicki Chamberlin; granddaughters Dorinda Chamberlin, Christina Wyble, Sarah Milsap, Lindsey Burch, Carie Burch; eleven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Darla Burch. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe D. Burch Sr.; sons J. Don Burch Jr., David Burch; two grandsons.
