Ortha “Blondie” Leigh Burch, 94, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO 64052. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Village Hospice.
Ortha was born October 1, 1917 in Independence, MO the daughter of Henry H. and Anna L. (Wilke) Linnenbringer. She was employed with Cosentino’s grocery store for 23 years as a meat wrapper.
She was preceded in death by her husband David L. Burch in June 1975; five brothers; four sisters; one great grandchild; and her parents.
Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Holmes and husband Roy of Raytown, Shirley Bullard and husband Howard of Warrensburg, Wanda Moulton and husband Jerry of Lewisburg, WV, and Beverly Francka and husband Bill of Lee’ Summit; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
