Terry Burden

Terry L. Burden, 64, of Beaver, OK, loving son, father and grandfather, went to be with our Savior on December 26, 2010. He is rejoicing with the Angels and his father, mother, daughter and brother. He was born to Ed and Florene Burden on January 3, 1946 in Tulsa, OK. He spent most of his years working in the oilfield and loved the challenges his work brought him everyday. His time not spent working was spent with family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and shooting with his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his country and his military service. He saw his children as his greatest achievement in life and showered them with love and guidance. He was also very proud of his grandchildren and taught all of them what is most important in life…FAMILY! Dad will forever remain in our hearts and lives. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Ed W. and Florene M. Burden; brother, Larry E. Burden; and daughter, Penny L. Burden. He is survived by his children, Brenda L. Simmons and husband Cary; Ed W. “Mutt” Burden II and wife Jamie; grandsons, Seth and Bryce; and granddaughters, Rae, Dakota and Jordan. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Thursday, December 30, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt.
