Edward Allen Burkhardt, 55, Blue Springs, MO passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 12, 2011.
A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Edward Burkhardt Grandchildren’s Education Fund c/o UMB Bank; 705 SW Meadowood Dr, Grain Valley, MO 64029.
Ed was born February 1, 1956 in Kansas City, MO the son of A.J. and Elvadine Burkhardt. He was a 1974 graduate of Northeast High School. Ed was employed with General Mill Machine Shop as a general manager for over 30 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2414.
Survivors include his children, Cole E. Burkhardt and his wife Amber, Chad A. Burkhardt, and Tia L. Burkhardt; grandchildren, Alexander and Ava Burkhardt; mother Elvadine Burkhardt; and sisters, Jacquelyn McMenemy and Sara Candelario.
