Rowena Burnett

Rowena Alice Burnett, 77, Overland Park, KS passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday, March 2, 2009 at Central Freewill Baptist Church 3200 Blue Ridge Ext. Grandview, MO. Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 pm Monday at the church. Burial will be in Lutie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutie Cemetery c/o Century Bank, PO Box 450, Theodosia, MO 65761 Rowena was born August 30, 1931 near Big Creek Township in rural Ozark County, MO the daughter of Bert and Hepsie (Sallee) Burnett. She was employed with Sears and Robuck for over 35 years as a typist. She was a member of the Central Freewill Baptist Church where she had taught the children’s Sunday School Class, served as church clerk and was a member of the ladies auxiliary. Rowena enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lattice Burnett; brothers Weldon, Vern, Noel, Dolin, Levi, Leo, Buell and Boyd Burnett. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
