Raymond Burns

Raymond C. Burns, 80, life-long resident of Independence, MO passed away December 16, 2009 at Quail Run Health Care, Cameron, MO. Raymond was born June 30, 1929 in Fairfax, MO. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War. After 38 years, Raymond retired from the Kansas City Public School System, where he had been a woodshop teacher. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation to follow at the Carson-Speaks Crematory. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Independence Animal Shelter.
