Albert Kenneth Burton, 89, Blue Springs, MO passed away Friday February 21, 2014.
Ken was born December 29, 1924 in Troy, MO the son of Allie and Alberta (Campbell) Burton. He was a graduate of William Chrisman High School and was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during WWII. He retired from Bendix after 38 years as a precision tool grinder. Ken was a member of the Eastgate Christian Church. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, fishing at the lake and hunting with his friends from the church. Kenny and his wife Lois had many friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Lois of 67 years; daughters, Rita Porter and her companion, Jerry Lierly and Cindy Stevens and her husband Harry; granddaughters, Tammy Porter and Callie Zevecke. He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Burton in 1969 and his parents.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastgate Christian Church or Crossroads Hospice.
