Edgar F. Burton

Edgar F. Burton, 84, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, March 19, 2007 at his home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 in the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Ed was born April 5, 1922 in Detroit, MI to Edgar F. and Clyda F. (Doty) Burton. He was a family man that the kids gravitated around. Mr. Burton enjoyed playing golf and working on wood working projects in his spare time. Ed is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ida (Williams) Burton; children Larry Hunner and wife Gwen, Mike Hunner and wife Sandy, daughter Melissia Connell and husband Ron; 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Allana Kirkbride and husband Jack; numerous nieces, nephews including Mike Burton and Sharon (Burton) Conelly. Ed was preceded in death by his brothers Mike and Richard, sister Betty.
