Erick Butler

Erick Butler, 57, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 18, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Memorial services will begin at 1:30 pm, Sunday, Dec. 27 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will follow the service until 4:30 pm. Erick was born May 5, 1958 in Independence, MO and attended Van Horn High School. He worked at G.E. Card Services for eighteen years. He was a social butterfly who enjoyed cooking, the outdoors, was interested in calligraphy and was a wonderful artist and writer. Erick is survived by his daughter Madison Butler, Independence MO; sisters Pam Gregory and husband Kelly, Grand Junction, CO; Mary Brown and husband Larry, Oak Grove, MO; brother Joe Butler; former wife/friend Donna Butler, both of Independence, MO and many other family members.
