Michael Butler

Michael Butler, 20, of Independence passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2008. A visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Monday, July 28 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence. Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday at the chapel with burial at Buckner Hill Cemetery.
Michael was born June 17, 1988 in Kansas City, MO. He is a 2006 graduate of Fort Osage High School and then joined the National Guard. Most recently, Mike and been working with his father and stepfather, painting and doing masonry work. He cared about others more than he did himself, and will be missed for his fun-loving nature by all who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christine and Barry T. Cloe; father and step-mother, Steve and Stacey Butler; six siblings: Jeff Gregory, Stephanie Butler, Bethany Coplen and husband Kurt, Ryan Stauffer, Marcus Cloe and wife Samantha, and Tanner Butler; one nephew and three nieces whom he dearly loved: Gavin, Brooklynn, Ryley, and Reaghan; maternal grandparents, David and Beth Gregory; step grandparents: Harry and Betty Stauffer and “Granny”; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and many friends. His paternal grandparents, Ernest and Sharron Butler, preceded him in death.
