Phyllis Butler

Phyllis G. Butler, 74 of Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services and burial will be in Benton, KY. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Phyllis was born April 4, 1936 in Benton, KY to John L. and Rosalee (Stephenson) Gaither. She had worked as a cook for the Courthouse Exchange. She was married to Charles Ray “Chuck” Butler who preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include; her children, Paula Baldree, Faye Warren, Charles D. Butler and Susie Proctor all of Independence, MO, Teresa McCoy (Ronald) of Tiline, KY and Jonda Demarco (Doug) Lee’s Summit, MO; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Gaither and a sister, Sue Jean Gaither.
