Barbara Byrd

Barbara Byrd, 65, of Kansas City, MO passed away February 27, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. A service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the chapel with burial to follow at Blue Springs Cemetery. Barbara was born April 3, 1943 in Merriam, KS to Joseph and Marie (Friend) Thurston. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles “Bud” Byrd; five daughters, Tammy Cooper and husband Don, Angie Hunter and husband Larry, Sheila Mangum, Mary Wilson and husband Steve, Jennifer Sisk and husband Jamie; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. She will be dearly missed.
