Arline Fae Cackler, 91, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, August 21, 2009 at Rosewood Health Center. Arline was born May 15, 1918 in Blairsburg, IA to Guy R. and Ina G. (Rhyan) Fowler. Mrs. Cackler was preceded in death by her husband Harold Cackler; by her son John W. Cackler; and three sisters. She and her husband Harold served as appointee ministers in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Community of Christ). Prior to moving to The Groves, Arline was a member of the Gudgell Park and Stone Church congregations. She was loved by all for her sweet and compassionate nature. Arline was a life-long learner. Mrs. Cackler was well known in the community for her book reviews, dramatic works, directing and participating in church related theatre. Arline is survived by her daughter-in-law Cathleen Cackler-Veazey and Stephen M. Veazey; grandchildren Abrielle Cackler Gensler and husband Travis, Brady W. Cackler, Bryce H. Veazey; great-granddaughter Bailey Grace Gensler; by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2009 at The Stone Church. The family will greet friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Community of Christ Children’s Peace Pavilion or The Groves Community Hospice.
