Ronny Ray Calfas, 66, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 3, 2010 at Brushy Cemetery, rural Lincoln, MO. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W Lexington Ave. Independence, MO with an Eagles service at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Ronny was born May 16, 1943 in Independence, MO the son of Ted and Betty J. (Scott) Calfas. He was a carpet layer and a member of the Local #1179 Floor Layers Union for over 20 years, and retired from McIntyre Mann. Ronny was a member of the Countryside Eagles Aerie#4286, Aerie#3717 and Aerie#385. He coached numerous Kiwanis and American Legion Baseball teams. Ronny enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family on his boat at Lake of the Ozarks.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda Sue and his father.

Survivors include his mother, Betty J. Bollin; children, Susan M. Smith and her husband Kent, Lori Greene and her husband John; Mark Calfas and his wife Joey; and Sharon Lockard and her husband Brandon; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sister, Teddy Hawkins; brother, Rusty Calfas and his wife Julie; and girlfriend, LaVon McCaughey.
