Helen Mae (McBee) Campbell, 84, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 12, 2009. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice.
Helen was born June 6, 1924 in Braymer, MO. She was a bookbinder for thirty-two years and a member of the Bookbinders Local #60-B. She was also a member of Eastern Star and Parents Without Partners. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Allen Campbell in 1969; three sisters: Louise Fields, Frances Bingham, Ruth Glidden; and son-in-law Larry Neal. She is survived by daughters Bobbie McEnroe and husband David, Camdenton, MO; Sharon Neal, Independence, MO; Janice Crozier and husband Larry, Lee’s Summit, MO; Kathy Stevenson and husband Fred, Laurie, MO; and sister Beverlie Timbrook, Gold Beach, OR. “Nanny” will also be missed by fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
