Ivan D. Campbell, 77, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 31, 2008. Graveside services will be at 1 pm, Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at Richmond Memory Gardens in Richmond, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Sat. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO.
Ivan was born June 28, 1931 in Phillipsburg, KS. He worked for many years at Yellow Freight Company and retired from there. He was a member of Teamsters Local #41 and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
Ivan was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Campbell and daughter Sherry Campbell. He is survived by son Jim Campbell, Lexington, MO; daughters Linda Harp, Independence, MO; Karen Campbell; son Kevin Campbell, both of Denver, CO; sister Eva Ayers and husband Bill, Phillipsburg, KS; grandchildren Jackie, Josh, Brian, Emily, Katy and Christy; and great-grandchildren Jarret, Bethany, Aleia and Chloe. t
