Brandt Leo Cantwell

Brandt L. Cantwell, 93, Odessa, MO passed away on March 17, 2007 at St. Mary�s Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, at the chapel. Burial at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Brandt was born on March 26, 1913 in Purvis, MO to Shelvia and Zona (Vaughn) Cantwell. He lived in Independence for 40 years, until several years ago when he moved with his wife to Odessa, MO. Brandt was preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years, Opal Bell Cantwell in 2005; one son, William James Cantwell; one grandson, James Leo Cantwell; four brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Kaye Cantwell; three grandchildren, Terri and husband Joe Coffey, William M. Cantwell and Tami and husband Tony Schallenberg; three great grandchildren, Joey Coffey and Alyssa and Sidney Schallenberg; as well as nieces and nephews.
