Carl Edward Warmington

Carl Edward Warmington, known affectionately as “Ed” or "Eddie," passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024. Born in Independence, Missouri, on March 31, 1938, Ed was a man of many talents.

 Throughout his life, Ed worked as a foreman for Armco Steel, where his dedication was respected. Prior to his time at Armco Steel, Ed worked at the Schlitz Brewery. His journey was not just defined by his career achievements but by the relationships he cultivated along the way, including his time as a director with the Loyal Order of Moose in Independence, Missouri. 

 Ed was truly a jack of all trades. His creativity knew no bounds, with many remembering him as a great artist and maker. Whether he was drawing portraits, sculpting animal figurines for his loved ones, or creating beautiful chalk murals with his daughter Andrea, Ed’s talent and witty spirit touched the lives of many.

 Ed's proudest accomplishment was his family. He cherished time spent with loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured by those lucky enough to be around him. His presence brought laughter and joy to gatherings, where his humor and clever story telling would fill the room. His charming personality was magnetic. 

 In the hearts of those who knew him best, Ed will be remembered for his willingness to help out, his devotion to loved ones, and his perseverance. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the wonderful life he lived and the impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

 Ed's loving family and friends will carry forward his memory, may he rest in peace knowing that he was truly cherished during his time on this earth.

Ed is survived by his wife Shirley Warmington, brother Denny Warmington, his daughters Secely Palmer and Andrea Gill and their spouses Mark Palmer and Russ Gill, and his three grandchildren & five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Norman Warmington.
