Alfred Carlisle, 97, passed away on January 11, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gibby Carlisle. He is survived by his sons, Richard and Lynn Carlisle, two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Al lived a wonderful life and, along with his wife, is viewed by his extended family as a model of how to live their lives. A memorial service will be held at his long-time church, Mount Washington Methodist Church, 584 S. Arlington, Independence at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.
