Gus Carlton, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away April 4, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April, 11, 2015 at Low Gap Assembly of God in Low Gap Arkansas. Gus was bon on October 31, 1934 in Low Gap, AR to Arlie and Florence (Villines) Carlton. It was in Low Gap that he married the love of his life, Wanda House on April 10, 1955. Together they moved to the Kansas City/Independence area in 1956. Gus began working at Sears in 1963. He retired in 1987 after 25 years of service. Gus truly loved the outdoors, and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and especially fishing. He also enjoyed wood crafting. Survivors include; his wife of nearly 60 years, Wanda Carlton; son Ronald Carlton and wife, Joy Kay, and brother Ruby Carlton.
