Carole Marie Waggoner

Carole Marie Waggoner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 25, 2023. Carole was born on September 29, 1938, to Merritt and Marie Finn in St. Louis, MO

Carole's journey began with her education at Mercy High School. She graduated in 1955, and embarked on a career as a bookkeeper before making the decision to become a stay-at-home mother. Carole's dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she poured her love and care into every aspect of their lives.

Carole found happiness when she met David Waggoner. They shared a deep love that left an indelible mark on their souls. Through every twist and turn of life's journey, David remained Carole's rock - a constant source of support and unwavering love. Together with David, Carole raised two wonderful daughters who brought joy and pride into her life each day. The light of Carole's life shone brightest with the arrival of her grandchildren, Daniel Austin Taylor and Jordyn Taylor. Carole's love for them knew no bounds; she found immense joy in their achievements, big and small. 

Though Carole may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on within each person she touched throughout her remarkable journey. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will guide those who carry her memory in their hearts.

Carole is survived by her husband David, daughters, Kara (Joe) Starlin and Erin (Tim) Hitsman; grandchildren, Daniel Austin Taylor and Jordyn Taylor; sisters Maureen Hentz and Karen Edwin, brother, Gary (Joan) Finn, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Merritt and Marie Finn; her siblings, Jim Finn, Bette Douglas, Tom Finn, Mike Finn and infant sister, Rita. Carole also endured the agony of losing a grandson, Devin Taylor. 

A graveside service will be held to honor and celebrate the beautiful life of Carole Marie Waggoner on October 30, 2023. The service will take place at Mound Grove Cemetery located at 1818 N River Blvd in Independence, MO. The ceremony will commence at 11:00 AM, allowing friends and family an opportunity to come together and share their cherished memories of Carole.
