Caroline Maxine Hedrick, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on August 17, 2023. She was born on April 28, 1931, in Sidney, Nebraska to Harvey and Alvina (Schnuelle) Bell.  She was known for her small but mighty personality and left a profound impact on the lives of all who knew her. Caroline was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Caroline dedicated many years of her life to her career as a claims supervisor for Allied Insurance Company. She approached her work with diligence and professionalism, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her dedication to excellence was evident in everything she did.

While Caroline found fulfillment in her career, it was her hobbies and interests that truly brought her joy. She had a passion for reading, immersing herself in various literary worlds. In the garden, she cultivated beauty and nurtured life through her love for gardening. Caroline's sharp mind found delight in crossword puzzles, challenging herself daily with their intricate clues. She also found solace in the serenity of bird watching and valued the simple pleasure of taking long walks.

Caroline's faith played a central role in her life. She was an avid churchgoer who actively participated in the Church of Christ (Temple Lot) community in Independence, Missouri. Her involvement within the church was deep-rooted and reflected her unwavering devotion to God.

Not only did Caroline find strength through her faith, but she also drew strength from her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. Caroline's four children—Carrie Bright (Greg), Debbie Hedrick, Dan Hedrick (DiAnn), and Bob Hedrick (Liza)—were the pride and joy of her life. Their accomplishments brought immeasurable happiness into Caroline's heart.

Caroline adored being a grandmother to five grandchildren: Noah (Courtney), Curtis (Sadi), Cody (Breezy), Travis, and Meleah, and a great-grandmother to three great-grandsons Jaxon, Sawyer, and Cooper.

In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Caroline is survived by her sisters, Irene Case and Edith Case. She will be dearly missed by her surviving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Alvina Bell, sisters, Alice Larsen, Lois Bell, Fern Sarratt, and brother, Johnny Bell.
