Jessie M. Carpenter, 83, of Independence, MO went home to be with the Lord May 28, 2010 at Blue Mills Rest Home. Jessie was born September 3, 1926 in Jackson County, MO to Jess L. and Stella (Masden) Miller. Among her survivors is her son, James D. Carpenter and wife Glenda; grandson Brian; brother Robert L. Miller of Oak Grove; brother H.E. Miller of California; sister Patricia Baker of Texas; sister Rosalie Hoffman of Independence; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery in Independence, MO.
