Valorie Dianne Carriker, 46, Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away Monday, June 26, 2006, at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Valorie was born Feb. 13, 1960, in Kansas City, Mo., and had lived in Lee's Summit all of her life. She worked at Wal-Mart in Lee's Summit. She attended Lee's Summit High School, Southwest Missouri State University and Northwest Missouri State University. She liked camping, hiking and fishing, particularly river fishing. She also enjoyed traveling and painting, and was all-around talented.
Her survivors include her parents, Jesse and Dorothy (Andes) Carriker, and brother, Neal Carriker, all of Lee's Summit; and a sister, Deborah Carriker of Sherwood, Ark.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, 816-373-3600.
