Kenneth Case, 86, of Blue Springs, MO passed away at home Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born September 6, 1926 in Shackford, MO. He served in WWII as an Army MP in the Philippines. He then worked for 40 years at Rock Island- Southern Pacific Railroad while also working as a painter for many years. In retirement, he was an avid fisherman at Lake Jacomo and was a devout member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Bertha Hayslip; brother Leroy Hayslip; and his daughter Linda (Case) Mutzel. He was married to Josephine (Fletcher) for 50 years. He is survived by his wife Josephine; son William and wife Judy Nance, daughter Susann Nance, daughter Katherine and husband Robert Stockdale, son Christopher Nance, son Steven and wife Sylvia Case and son Douglas Case; grandchildren are Michaela, Timothy, John, Stephanie, Salvatore, Ashley, Amanda, Christopher, Lindsay and Lacey, and great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Jean-Philippe and Alissia; two brothers, Glenn Case and wife Jean, Mickey Hayslip and wife Carol. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 4313 SW S.R.7, Blue Springs, MO and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
