Miriam Eunice Chesworth Cash
Miriam Eunice Chesworth Cash, 91, of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Rosewood Health Center. Mrs. Cash donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center for Research. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the East Alton Community of Christ Church 23rd and R.D. Mize Rd. in Independence. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Outreach International P.O. Box 210 Independence, Mo 64052-0210. Miriam was born November 30, 1916 in Fall River, MA to Ernest S. and Edith E. (Sidall) Chesworth. She attended public schools in West Warren, Worcester and Attleboro Ma. before graduating from Attleboro High School in 1934 and later attended Business College in Providence, RI. She had worked as a payroll clerk and accountant in various businesses. She moved to Tucson, AZ for health reasons in 1946 and had also lived in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. She married Harold Cash, Sr. in August on 1960 in Denver and moved to Independence, MO in 1963. She had worked at the Independence Regional Health Center in the accounting dept. before retiring in 1981. Miriam was a member of East Alton Community of Christ where she taught the kindergarten Sunday school class for 43 years. She had many talents. She was a soloist and played piano and organ and for many years made 300 table favors for each holiday at Resthaven Nursing Center. She loved to write and corresponded with many friends from coast to coast for many years. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two brothers, Ernest Chesworth, Jr and Leonard Chesworth and a stepson, Harold Cash, Jr. She is survived by; a step son, Donald Cash and wife Mary of Pittsburg, KS; 10 step grandchildren and many step great and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Jacobson of Aurora, CO and Edna Ward of Independence, MO.
