Olive Estell Castle, daughter of Harry and Gladys Boulware, passed away May 27, 2010 at the age of 83. She was born on December 25, 1926 in Jackson County, MO. Olive was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers Harry and Lloyd Boulware, and niece Kathy McVay. Olive leaves behind a son, William Castle and his wife Fran of South Carolina; two grandchildren: Patrick Castle and wife Shannon of California and Todd Castle and wife Kahlia of Utah; two sister-in-laws: Lenore Boulware and June Boulware; and two nephews: Bruce Boulware and wife Ann and Dick McVay. Olive was blessed with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews. Olive was employed at the Lake City Ammunition Plant during WWII. She later retired from Black and Veatch in Overland Park, KS after 15 years. Olive was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars Independence Chapter #329 and a member of Blue Ridge First Christian Church of Independence, MO.
Funeral arrangements in honor of Olive will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel at 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Visitation will be on Monday, May 31 from 5-8:00 PM. Services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 PM. Burial services will immediately follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO.
