F. Edwin Chappelow

F. Edwin Chappelow, 83, Independence MO, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at the Carmel Hills Living Center. Services will be at 3:00 pm., Friday, April 28, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 pm Thursday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Vitas Hospice at (800) 755-6678. Mr. Chappelow was born November 22, 1922, in Independence, MO, to Edwin Grant and Eva (Marsh) Chappelow. He graduated from both Graceland College and Central Missouri State University. Ed was baptized in the Community of Christ in 1931, and was ordained as a Deacon in 1943. He worked as an Accountant at Graceland for 30 years, from 1955 to 1985. He loved his family and was especially close to his many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lillian Eva Chappelow. He is survived by 2 sisters, Esther A. Friend, and Mary A. Dyer, and brother, Samuel J. Chappelow, all of Independence, MO; 7 nieces and 2 nephews; many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
