James Charpie

James Robert “Jim” Charpie, 66, of Bolivar, MO passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Speaks. Burial in Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Jim was born September 6, 1943 in Independence, MO to Edward and Mary Arlene (Harp) Charpie. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Mr. Charpie loved the outdoors and collecting knives. Jim was known for his friendly manner. He is survived by his sons Jimmy Charpie and wife Svea, Robert Charpie and wife Dana; daughter Jennifer Doran and husband Kelly; wife Ronda; grandchildren Spencer, Olivia, Danielle, Marshall, Joseph, Christopher, Isaac; brothers Ed Charpie and wife Barbara, Jerry Charpie and fiancé Kathy; sister Mary Jo Ashbaugh and husband Ned; and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
