Henry Chelston

Henry “Hank” Chelston Jr, 87, of Independence, MO, passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2023 in his home. Hank was born in Kearney, New Jersey on October 18, 1935, to Henry and Bernice (Rapsis) Chelston. Later, he moved to Forked River and Toms River, New Jersey where he spent many happy hours boating and fishing with his loving sons. Eventually settling in Independence, Missouri where he spent his time building train layouts and cheering on his favorite football teams.

Hank is survived by his wife of 39 years ,Delia, sons Henry, Stephen(Jeanne), Ricky(Diane), John(Donna), Danny(Susan) and Joey(Trish). Stepchildren Kevin(Evelyn), Colleen and John. Grandchildren Henry, Christopher, Kelly, Stephanie, Robert, Kristen, Kaitlyn, Tyler, John, Joey, Danny, Gia and Michael. Step Grandchildren Kimberly, Vincent, Crystal and Patrick. Great Grandchildren Colton, Noah, Alexandria, Matthew, Gracie, Aspen and Emily. Step Great Grandchildren Matthew, Amelia and Felix.
He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Bernice Chelston, stepmother Eleanor, stepson Patrick and stepdaughter Mary. He will be inurned at Mt Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri
