Robert “Bob” G. Chinnery, 78, Independence, MO, passed away Friday, October 23, 2009 surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will begin with a visitation from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, Oct. 30 at Sheffield Youth Center, 5915 Winner Rd Kansas City, MO 64125. Services at 11:00 am Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Sheffield Youth Center; 5915 Winner Rd. Kansas City, MO 64125. Burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Bob was born July 8, 1931 in Independence, MO the son of Herbert W. and Frances (Allen) Chinnery. He was a 1950 graduate of Wm Chrisman High School. Bob owned and operated Chinnery Machine in the late ‘50s. He also owned and operated Al’s Farm and Garden and Chinnery Investments. He was a member of the Antique Aircraft Assoc. and the Antique Racers. Bob enjoyed building and flying everything from airplanes, motorcycles, go-carts and street rods. He and his wife have been foster parents here in Jackson County for 33 years.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and stepmother, Ethel Chinnery and stepfather; Wilbur Kerstetter.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Rose (Frisbey) Chinnery; daughter, Sharon and Phil Baker, Suwanee, GA and their children, Jason and Chris; daughter Charlene Bradley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; son, Jim and Ellen Chinnery of Scottsmoor, FL and their children, Josh, Chad, Rose, David and Jacob; son, Ron and Cynthia Chinnery of Independence, MO and their children, Sam and Zach; daughter, Roberta “Bobbi” Chinnery of Independence, MO and her children, Danielle, GayBrielle, MikaElle, Gabriel, Isabella, Rafael; daughter, Jennifer and Mark Molder of Buckner, MO and their children, Tiff-Anie, and Elizabeth; daughter, Kerrie and Shanin Poppa of St. Joseph, MO and their children, Austin and Noah,son Michael Chinnery of Independence, MO; daughter, Tedi-Ane Chinnery of Independence, MO and her daughter, Myana; daughter Catie Aedo of Independence, MO; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Morgan; and brother, Thomas Chinnery of Melbourne, FL.
