Christa Ann McMinn

Christa Ann McMinn, 82 Passed Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Torrance California.  Cremation is planned and a graveside inurnment service will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday June 24, 2023 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence Missouri.

Christa was born on November 17, 1940 in Independence, Missouri to Arnold and Fern Saulsberry.   She lived most of her life there and in Blue Springs.  

She was an Activities Director for Retirement facilities and was awarded the State of Missouri director of the year.  She was always creating fun and humor thru her work and the hundreds of people she knew would always have a joke to share.  She enjoyed food and cooking and sharing and had collected THOUSANDS of cookbooks and was in the paper as "Look it up and Cook it up with Christa" and she would have people calling her for recipes and sharing through the phone calls.  She was a Den mother for several years working with Pack 139 and her friends knew how important time was for her.  She had collected 300+ clocks of all kinds, wall, mantel, floor and everything with hands on it.

Christa was preceded in Death John D McMinn after 55 years of marriage and she is reunited with him and so much family. 

Survivors include 2 sons, Kevin McMinn of Rancho Palos Verdes California and Kirk McMinn of Kansas City Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica of Athens Texas and John and Joseph of California; 5 Great grand kids,  Jazmine, Jaxon, Christopher, Giuliana and Jayden; great uncle Hollis Lee Saulsberry of Palms  Springs California; family of McMinn, Weis, McNaul, Montgomery, Shipps,  Noland , Kabrick and so many more family.
